As a fitness trainer and an athlete, I had been struggling with scapular issues for a long time. I never got a proper assessment until I met Dr. Tenzin. He carefully identified the tension around my scapula and did thorough manual therapy. I have only completed four sessions because I had to travel back to Pokhara, so I’m not fully healed yet. However, the improvement in my mobility after just four sessions has been amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Tenzin to anyone looking for a proper assessment and treatment for muscle tightness and mobility issue.

How to choose a physiotherapy clinic in Kathmandu

A good physiotherapist should explain your diagnosis and give you a clear treatment plan after your first session, not start treating before telling you why. Ask how many sessions they expect before reassessing progress, and confirm they're registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC) before booking.

We scored 74 physiotherapy clinics in Kathmandu on their public Google reviews. A high score here is a record of what past customers said. It is not a licence, and we do not verify one: ask to see Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC) registration before you commit.

I had such a wonderful experience at Sotai. From the moment I walked in, I felt calm and welcomed. The therapists are incredibly skilled, attentive, and genuinely care about your wellbeing. I left feeling lighter, more relaxed, and with so much less tension in my body. The space itself is peaceful and beautifully maintained, making it easy to switch off from the outside world. I highly recommend Sotai to anyone looking for a truly restorative massage. I’ll definitely be back.

Methodology

How we rank, and what we can't see

The same six signals, weighted the same way, for every business on this page, never adjusted by hand. Below is what's specific to physiotherapy clinics in Kathmandu.

Why isn't every physiotherapy clinic in Kathmandu listed?

We aim to list every business we can confirm has a public Google Business Profile in the area. A small number of real businesses have no public listing at all, and coverage of newly opened businesses can lag by roughly one refresh cycle. If yours is missing, tell us. We would rather add it than have this list quietly incomplete.

What should you ask before booking a physiotherapist?

Ask what your diagnosis is and why, how many sessions they expect before reassessing, and whether they're registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council. A clinic that can't answer these clearly is worth being cautious about.

What are signs of a physiotherapist you should be cautious about?

Pressure to book a long course of sessions before any real assessment, reluctance to explain what's actually being treated, or no willingness to discuss registration status.

What does physiotherapy typically cost in Nepal?

Costs vary widely by clinic, city, and treatment type, and we haven't verified reliable Nepal-wide figures yet, so we won't guess a number here. Ask for the per-session rate and whether a course of sessions is priced differently before booking.

Is physiotherapy a regulated profession in Nepal?

Physiotherapists are meant to register with the Nepal Health Professional Council, but we haven't confirmed a public registry lookup the way some other professions have. For now, ask to see their registration certificate directly rather than assuming a high score means they're registered, a score reflects Google reviews only.
